AAF A2 from Capt. Jerome M. Rosenblum
711th Bomb Squadron, 447th Bomb Group, 8th AAF.

The front illustrates Capt. Rosenblum's 35 missions and the reverse artwork
depicts a B-17 flying over a scene of a cat on a trash can with a Nazi flag inside
and a dog lifting it's leg on the flag.  Hitler's head on a stick rests next to this.

This A2 is pictured on page 136 of Conway & McGuire's book
American Flight Jackets, Airmen, and Aircraft.
In the book it is listed as unidentified but the pilot's name "Jerry" appears below "Belle" on the reverse and his initial "JMR" are painted on the front.  Inside is found his name and research was easy enough after that to i.d. the pilot of the Belle.  This A2 comes with a copy of the entry listing Rosenblum (from NY) with the unit.

The 711th BS was based at Rattlesden, England during WWII.
Apparently someone in the 711th was quite the artist, this painted A2 is on display at the USAF Museum showing a different motif but I believe in the same hand.
