Purple Hearts to Ohio brothers killed in action.

William Yankewicz was killed on Iwo Jima on March 11th of 1945 while serving in the serving 28th Marines of the 5th Marine Division.
His brother, John was killed on Guam with t he 305th RCT of the 77th Division.
Another brother, Michael, served in the AAF.
The group includes the officially engraved PH to William in it's short titled USMC case of issue and being a wrap broach USMC issue award.  The medal is still in its original short titled case of issue and the original outer box.  Included is the letter from Headquarters, US Marines to his mother and father telling of his death and the issuance of the Purple Heart. Further included is his Purple Heart Award certificate for Wounds received in action, resulting in his death March 11, 1945.
His brother's Purple Heart is officially hand engraved to John Yankewicz.  John was killed on Guam. He was with the 77th Infantry, 305 Infantry Regiment.  Included is his first edition unit history with full roster and John listed among those killed in action.  There is an envelope from the War Dept to his mother with a picture of the Army, Navy, Marine cemetery number 3, Agana, Guam, Mariana Islands.
The final items in the group is the photo brother Michael in his AAF uniform.
