An excellent WWII RAF Pathfinders' DFM group.

A fine group consisting of the following excellent condition
original awards.
Distinguished Flying Medal (G.VI.R) officially named to F/Sgt. G.T. King, R.A.F.,
Air Crew Europe Star, and WWII star / medal trio.
Kings recommendation reads "This NCO has carried out 50 operations against
the enemy and has attacked such heavily defended targets as Stuttgart, Stettin,
and Berlin. As an Air Bomber of above average ability, he has proved
himself to be an outstanding member of a gallant crew."
King served with No. 635 Squadron as part of No. 8 Pathfinder
Force.
The DFM last publicly changed hands as lot 3319 in Spinks 1995 sale. The
scarce original Air Crew Europe star and trio were since added for display by
the collector.

An example of the type of aircraft King served aboard.
