Reproduction Orber wings.

     Since publishing an article for Military Trader on Orber wings of WWII it has come to my attention that Orber has begun selling restrikes of their wings.  These are made from the original dies and using silver solder at the pin base.  There is at this time only one pattern being used and it is being offered as Pilot, Sr. Pilot, Command Pilot, and the Liason, Service, & Glider pilots with the applied L, S, & G.  The restrikes are of the early curved ORBER hallmarked wide flat pattern.  Below are found images with notes on this pattern of wing in both the original and the reproduction.  The experienced eye will note the crisp, newly strike edge to the copies and that the locking catch is constructed slightly different.
