587th Tactical Missile Group German Stein
Approximately 10 inches tall, dated 1961-62, from Sembach Air Base and named to S.R. Land. Decorated with the unit insignia and a naked lady lithopane inside. The side of the stein and the final display the Mace MGM-13 Surface to Surface missile. The Matador was the first U.S. Cruise Missile and essentially and updated copy of the WWII German V1… with a nuke! The Mace updated the Matador and was eventually replaced by the Pershing Missile. Great souvenir of the Cold War days!
