WWII Japanese Army Officer's Katana
The classic 'samurai sword' of WWII.  Clean rayskin covered grip with original cloth wrap and menuki, wartime Army pattern tsuba, clean and undamaged scabbard that is very neatly painted black not the green usually seen.  Certainly appears period done and not the only one I"ve encountered.  The blade is free of nicks or cracks and has a clear clean temper line though it does have some spotting and blemishes.  Missing the scabbard catch.
