Superb and well documented 15th AAF A2 flight jacket
An excellent condition and all original size 44 AAF A2 leather flight jacket with a good working zipper and clean original cuffs and waistband... now that's out of the way, on to history!
This flight jacket bears typical Italian theater painted leather insignia to include an American flag & 15th AAF shoulder patches, Lt. bars on the epaulets, incised pilot wing on the left breast and two great patches!
Patches are Italian made 459th Bomb Group and 757th Bomb Squadron.
On the reverse is a great seperately applied rendition of a B24!
The jacket is attributed to a Lt. in the 757th and includes copies of his service details, a photograph he mailed to the collector after he sold his flight jacket, a copy of his handwritten notes about misions and service, and a copy of the Turner Publications 459th BG History "Coffee Tower".
