Civil War New Hampshire I.D. Disc
Classic pattern WAR OF 1861 UNITED STATE eagle obverse i.d. disc and the only pattern I have encountered for New Hampshire. A noted collector friend has conjectured that these were purchased by the unit for the men hence the uniformity found.  Impressed to

William Titcomb, from Pelham NH, enlisted at age 24 on 8/19/1862 as a Private in Co. I of the 13th New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry. He was discharged for disability on 11/20/1862 at Washington, DC. There are possibilities for further research as Titcomb may have reenlisted.
