Large identified Illinois vets 8th AAF pilot's group
I will miss something in this description, there's alot!
Robert Findley began service as an enlisted man prior to WWII, flew
bombers in England earning multiple Air Medals, and stayed on to earn his
Command Pilot wings in the Air Force.
Included are his complete WWII uniform with GREAT bullion 8th AAF patch,
sterling pinback wartime issue wing, ribbons, etc. Dogtags are with it,
and his officer's service visor in o.d. wool is included as well as the matching
trousers.
There is a PILE of paperwork detailing his full career with several
interesting pieces!
Loose insignia includes post-war early pinback Command Pilot wings, a great USAF ribbon
rack that is Asian made and includes Korea Service, named USAF Commendation medal, flight jacket name tapes, and much more!
